#3dprinting

Since I first bought it I’ve had an intermittent problem with the Bowden tube of my CR-10S coming loose - sometimes during prints. The clip / connector is very small and the teflon tube seems to just sit delicately in there with out much of a friction fit.

Today I tried switching to a white PLA filament that I’ve had in storage for a while. This filament seems somehow more rigid than the ones I’ve been using previously, and it really exacerbated the Bowden tube issue. The weight of the filament pushed the tube out of the connector about halfway through my print.

After hunting around a bit I came across this clip on Thingiverse which helps to hold the connector in the locked position:

It’s a quick 4 minute print and seems to have solved the problem - here’s what it looks like when installed on the Problem Solving Machine:

I have also however ordered several new connectors and another teflon tube - when they arrive I’ll test them out and see if I can get a more satisfying connection without using the clip.
